During the 29th Universiade in Taipei, Marcelina Witek, a competitor of Polanik Athletics Club, won the gold medal and the title of the champion. Marcelina threw a Polanik Space Master javelin and scored 63.31 m and  improved her persolan best.
"I did not think it  flew so far - it thought of failing this throw but finally i heard the audience becoming loud ..." - she says happy and we congratulate her!

Marcelina Witek started the final contest from 11th place, then moved to seventh and fifth. In the penultimate round, the result of 63.31 improved her life record - established at ME U23 in Bydgoszcz when she won bronze. The Pole was ahead of Marie Sato (Japan) 62.37 and Jenni Kangas (Finland) 60.98. The Turkish Ed Tugsuz (60.75, Life Record 67.21) and German Christin Hussong (60.59) also surpassed 60 meters.

On September 16, Marcelina will be present in Piotrków Trybunalski's on the Polanik Cup. This is the third edition of the competition organized by Piotrkow City and OSiR.
Due to the 2017 jubilee of the city, this year's cup was awarded the title:
"III Polanik Cup the Athletics Meeting of   800th Anniversary of the City of Piotrków Trybunalski".
In the past years, the stars of the competition were: Szymon Ziółkowski and Wojciech Nowicki.
